A trial is only worth anything if it is the product. This one is the Airline tier with nothing withheld for 14 days — the left-hand list is read straight out of the table above, because it is the same column. The right-hand list is what happens if you decide against it.

The airline stops accepting new flights and hires. It does not stop existing. vAMSYS's terms say the virtual airline is deleted if their trial expires without a subscription; ours says the opposite, in the product and on this page, and you can check it by letting the trial run out.

- Do I need a card to start the trial?
- Yes, and we would rather say so on the pricing page than at the third step of a signup form. The card is taken up front and charged when the 14 days are up. Cancel inside them and it is never charged — there is no invoice, no partial month and nothing to claim back, because no money moved.
- Is anything switched off during the trial?
- No. The trial is the Airline tier exactly as it is sold: unlimited pilots, open registration, the economy, events, bidding, the API and a custom domain. This is deliberate and it is the main thing we do differently — vAMSYS's 14-day trial disables public registration, the Discord bot, API tokens and pilot sharing, which are precisely the things a virtual airline needs switched on to find out whether it works.
- What happens if I do not subscribe when the trial ends?
- The airline goes read-only. It is not deleted, not after thirty days and not ever — the roster, the fleet, the schedule and every logbook stay exactly where they are, full data export keeps working, and subscribing later restores the whole thing intact. vAMSYS's terms say that if their trial expires without an active subscription, the virtual airline is deleted. That is the difference, and it is why there is no countdown on this page.
- Is there a free tier?
- No, and there is not going to be one. Every airline gets its own isolated Postgres database, which costs real money to run whether or not anyone is flying — a free tier on that architecture is a bill we would have to recover somewhere else, most likely by making the paid tier worse or by putting a pilot cap on it. One price, everything in it, is the honest version.
- Do you charge per pilot?
- No. Airline is $29 a month or $290 a year for the whole airline, with unlimited pilots. A thirty-pilot airline and a three-hundred-pilot airline pay exactly the same. There is no pilot count anywhere in this pricing, and no roster cap on any tier.
- Is there a founding-airline rate?
- Yes, and it is a fixed cohort rather than an open-ended discount. The first 10 airlines to subscribe hold $19 a month — $190 on the yearly cycle — for the life of the subscription, on this same Airline tier with nothing added to it and nothing held back. When the 10th airline takes it the rate closes and does not reopen. It is not a launch price on its way to becoming the list price: the prices in the table above are the prices.
- What exactly do I own, and can I get it out?
- Every airline runs on its own isolated Postgres database — not a shared table with a tenant column — and full data export is available at any time: during the trial, on either tier, and after you have stopped paying. There is also a documented REST API and webhooks if you would rather pull the data continuously than export it in one go.
- What does Flag Carrier cost?
- It is priced on your roster and what you need, so there is no number on this page to quote. Flag Carrier is everything in Airline plus enterprise SSO, full white-label branding, dedicated support with an SLA, and hands-on migration. If none of those four are things you are being asked for, Airline is the tier.
- What currency are the prices in, and who takes the payment?
- US dollars. Airline is $29 a month or $290 a year, and Flag Carrier is quoted in the same currency. Payments are handled by Polar, which is the merchant of record — they sell the subscription and deal with sales tax and VAT, so your invoice comes from them rather than from us, and they are also who holds the card taken at the start of the trial.
- What happens to my airline if AeroVMS shuts down?
- Full export is available at any time, subscribed or not — you can take the whole database out without asking anyone. That is the honest guarantee we can make, and we would rather make that one plainly than dress a pre-launch product up in promises it has not earned yet.
